Does anyone know the super cub AXLE diameter of the front landing gear?

I purchased and bought these Dave Brown Wheels and installed them on my Cub...they fit perfectly. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006O8QMY/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1The listing shows this spec---5/32" (3.97mm) fits FingerTech Lite Hubs, or can be drilled up to 3/16" for other shaft sizes. The LG shaft went inside that wheel hub just as they should. Did not have to drill it out or lube the shaft. It was a precise perfect fit. Hope that helps.

I don't recall who it was that suggested using the clear tubing from a stock kitchen spray bottle to enclose the pushrods on my SC, but that same tubing can be cut to size to work on the landing gear axles at the wheels. It works great to take up the space between the axles and the wheel rims if the wheels wobble at all. I don't know the axle size, but I have not had problems in using small cut pieces of that spray bottle tubing to insert at the wheel hubs on any of my Super Cubs. Maybe it was flydiver who originally suggested using the plastic spray bottle tubing, but I don't recall. I use them on the pushrod pieces at the tail and also on my axles when needed.

I am pretty sure it is 5/32" or 3.97 mm as the Dave Brown wheel listing showed it fit mine exact.
coupe I never thought of that...sounds like a neat fix
I have never had to use nothing so far for any plane, but i hear heat shrink tubing will work to seems the spray bottle tubing would be firmer and work great.

This may explain it better... These were not the Dave Brown wheels used in video, but I believe the Dave Brown wheels usually require the hub center to be sanded a tad before using the spray bottle tubes. I may be incorrect though, as it has been a while since I played with this mod. The heat shrink method works, but you have to use a couple of them on the axle, I believe.

I simply bought 2 1/2 " foam lite Dave Brown wheels and slipped them on the landing gear axle and they fit perfectly with no Modifications
