Well, the first nearly windless and dry day in memory so off for my maiden flight with the Super Cub. So sit back and enjoy 4+ minutes of superb flight culminating in a thrilling, edge of the seat drama as the pilot fights for control ending with an unorthodox 'landing' from which, happily, the Cub emerged unscathed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmbAnrh4HKA

Well done, Richard, and congratulations on winning your 'wings' . You were doing both left and right circuits straight away, whereas many newbies have to spend hours practising just one way. Great! As you have discovered, trees and bushes hate RC aircraft with a vengeance, and do all they can to snare them. You were fortunate it was a low level bush this time, not one of those tall trees at the bottom of your field. Many of us will have shared your pain as we listened to her being retrieved! (Where was your camera - on your head?) So, you're well on the way. Best wishes for future fun. (PS: Your camera clock is a day fast . . . )

My first real landing was in a tall pine about 20-25 feet up it to came out with no damage. That was an exciting video, especially where you almost landed on yourself.
