OK I have a Tactic TTX650 transmitter. I am trying to learn the settings.
I have set the travel limits on Ailerons for example to limit it's travel. I have set to a percentage so they do not move so far...example 100% to 50%-40% etc etc
Now dual rates and exponential settings are a little confusing .
The rate of servo movement is non-linear in relation to the movement of the stick. The higher the exponential percentage, the quicker the servo will rotate as the stick is moved away from center........( that is what the manual states.)
Now someone explain to me in layman's terms how to set exponential settings .
I have some war planes for example that are always inverting in turns( every time as a matter of fact ) The ailerons move way to much and way to fast.
I have set them at a lower setting hopefully trying to compensate for that sudden inversion. ( Weather to bad to try it out) However bench testing the Ailerons do not travel as far ( using a Great planes Accu-Throw to show travel amounts )...My wonder is, can setting exponential settings, slow down that travel speed to make easier turns as not to make that sudden aileron movement that has caused inversion ? What i mean slowing down the servo movement to make that turn more fluid and slow and not so drastic and fast ? Will setting the exponential settings help ?
Would that help ? Hurt ? Cause issues ? Whatever ?
The manual about setting rates and exponential is not as clear ( to me anyway ) as i thought .
Any help, advice, whatever is welcome.
This Tx allows me to put everything on a switch as to be able to use or not use it.
I have set aileron and rudder mixture on a channel to try and get smoother turns for example.
( will not know how well until weather permits- but bench testing shows the control movements work as set )
Using the War Birds as an example. I have a High wing Decathlon and a Yak 12 as well that has ailerons I will try whenever weather permits. Have them set and bench tested as well, needing more info on Exponential settings trying to understand it more before setting it up.
Thanks in advance.
