Well, I am always shopping in thrift stores to try to find cheapie items that may serve some other purpose than what they were originally intended for. Today I found these two metal stands (have no clue as to what they came from or used for originally) and I decided they would work great as a diy CoG Machine if I could somehow hook up some pencils. Got the pencils in place and held securely (You'll never guess what that round tube that holds them tight was from). These stands were from the local Salvation Army Store and cost me under $7.00, apiece. I put the plane on it and it sure seems balanced to me. These stands are maybe 3' tall or so. Any rate, it was a fun diy project and not costly in the least. I am hoping it works well, once I clean up my computer room and make room for the stands in one corner. The weather was bad and no flight time today, but making this diy project kept me busy and content. :-)
