Can anyone tell me any information on Depron Foam compared to most EPO Foam. I read it is lighter and is firmer in feel. I guess my wonder is does it break easier and will it shatter like wood if crashed ? Think egg carton foam, thicker of course. It is lighter, stiffer, much finer grain (smooth, not pebbly), and more fragile. Soft things tend to bend, stiff things tend to break. It makes for light planes needing little stiffening or reinforcement, an excellent application for advanced 3D type pilot seeking maximum performance and minimum weight. For the 'crash and burn crowd' it's frustrating. It's also much more subject to paint, glue, and solvent damage.

Fly that makes perfect sense. And why I do not read any reviews on those type planes.Seems very few people are buying them, a couple of them really looked nice to.
As always Fly, your insight and knowledge is greatly appreciated.
I read some about that material , but your explanation said more than all those articles and with far less words...amazing .
Thank you.
