As an uneducated newbie, I'm beginning to think of more and more things I don't know about.
For instance, does anyone have a decent checklist of necessities when going to the flying field?
What about a preflight checklist for the Cub?

The Wattflyer RC group likely has such listed in their tons of great advise from participants. I have read through most of the threads and simply cut and pasted what I felt was of great importance to a notebook page. That page is getting really lengthy at this point Still, I can narrow down all the info and then make myself a pdf of what I feel is important to keep. I have about burned out my eyes in reading all the posts at this site, the Wattsflyer and the HobbyKing RC sites. Good luck in finding exactly what you want.

Hey chappy, I'll tell you what I take into consideration.
Flight conditions (low to no wind) Bystanders (collateral damage) Handgun (depending on the local laws and the area that you're in) Drink Cell phone (in case of emergency) Now for the actual plane... Everything is tight and undamaged. The landing gear is functional. The control surfaces are level at rest and when power is on. The transmitter is fully charged. The rudder, elevator and motor react appropriately to input. Your battery is fully charged and not puffy or damaged. You've got extra battery with you. Charger Plenty of hot women around to watch you strut your stuff.
Feel free to add or subtract any of the above mentioned items...

Don't forget spare batteries for your transmitter. They don't last for ever and Sod's Law dictates that they will suddenly fail when you're far from home / shops.
