Identify this part, please...

Okay, dumb newb quesiton # 5,401, but can someone please identify what the part (looks like a piece of pvc pipe) is on the door to this plane shown. Is it a camera mount or what? I didn't see it described in a thread in which I found it. The pieces gives me some diy camera mod ideas, but not necessarily with pvc or in this specific area of the plane. I just need to know what the purpose of the part is for and what it is called.

Yep, Toff is correct.

If you don't need that pipe bit, simply unscrew and discard.

Thanks, I was not for sure on the purpose of it, but it does give me some diy ideas for some possible diy camera mount options.
