Hello. I'm ready to purchase my first RC fixed wing. Been doing a bunch of research online and the super cub looks like the way to go. I have 2 helps in my hangar an E-flite MX2 and an MX2. I live in the state of Maryland USA. I am prior USAF enlisted (no I am not a pilot). Have done some traveling and have almost always been associated with the military in some way. Looking forward to doing some mods and econocoting it before maiden flight. I only hope I have the patience to wait till I get them done. Been lurking the forums for several weeks now and decided to make an account.

I was posting that from my cell phone and so it was a bit disjointed. I did order a mini vapor with some replacement parts for my mcx2 heli. I will use it in my office if and when I have any downtime. Spent a bit of time with you blokes (4years). Miss the marmite. More of a typhoo drinker than earl grey. I have to settle for Tettley here as the typhoo runs a bit dear. Guess I'm going to be hard pressed to get the proper hours in before wanting to try some of the more interesting mods I keep reading about. Didn't take long to realize the HZ Super Cub was the way to go. More information on this plane than all the others combined. Even with the shortcomings, ACT, structural issues. It is obviously loved by those that own it, and seems to have endless tweaks for fun and adventure. I'm looking forward to finding the time to hit my local hobby shop, make the minimum 6 mods (maybey one or 2 more) then take it out for a fly.
