How much is too much on landing gear wheels at axle?

I picked up a spare landing gear with 1 3/4" soft foam wheels, but I happened to notice that there is some space at the end that allows the wheel to have some wobble to it on the axle. I am not sure how much space is too much there at the end of the axle or if this is perfectly fine. I suspect it is fine, as I would think that upon landing you want a certain amount of flex anyway, but I just wanted to confirm such. Can anyone tell me if this amount of extra space on the landing gear axle is okay, as is?

Thanks, I didn't think it would, but just checking as everything about this plane is essentially new to me. I appreciate the response.
