I'm robert and live in Eastern north carolina. Been flying choppers for a few years and decided to check out planes about a month ago. Got a mini Cessna and a mini sky surfer. Instantaneous addiction! It took a day to get used to flying a craft that doesn't hover or go in reverse, but once I got over that i was having a lot of fun. So I found this forum after ordering my super cub and appreciate all of the great advice there is up here. My cub arrived last night and I did the 6 recommended mods immediately. Went to a huge field today after work and maidened her. What a nice plane. I'm a bit nervous when I flew at first as the size worries me in regard to a bad crash, but after landing once I had to do it again. I'm going to get in a lot of airtime this weekend and will have my girlfriend capture videos so I can post for folks like me who like to simply watch this bird in action.
Fly happy

Welcome aboard, Robert! No way are you a greenhorn! You have a solid background in one of the hardest to fly RC disciplines, so the cub, although slightly different, should be a bit more relaxing, and easier to fly.
