I am actually guessing on that, but here is what I found and perhaps someone can check out such to see if it would work okay or not. My wife bought an artificial plant some time ago at either Michael's, Hobby Lobby or some such place. I happened to be dusting a photo on the wall when I looked at it and decided to move the thing out of the corner or our bedroom. That is when I noticed some thin, plastic tubes that were colored to match the plant leaves. They are approximately 4' long and the attached photo should show the mm for them. They are flexible, but still rigid enough that they may work well enough to replace the carbon rods used in a strutless foam wing modification. Again, I don't have my plane and that is not a mod I am ready to make with it when it does arrive, but just something that I came across and thought may work. Not sure if a florist may have these in stock, but there are several in this plant. I hope I can down load the 4 photos in this tread without running out of attachment space. They may be cut and work out as support rods instead of tooth pics, too. Not sure on the weight, as I don't have a gram scale, but they feel feather light to me.

Here is a photo of the plant I got the rods from. They were colored and I am not sure if it was with paint or something else. Color should not matter if put into the foam of the wing though. (Sorry, for the darkness of this photo). Attachments:
