Decided to take my old plane, buy a new wing and clip about 3" off each tip, add some really large (2" wide) ailerons and add a snazzy new paint job. What prompted this was the arrival of my new Flysky FP6, wanted something to play with the new digital radio with! Here is the tail feathers off the old plane I started from. Notice I also strengthened the inside of the fuselage with some thin basewood. Here is the new wing with the tips cut and the larger ailerons cut out Here is the basic blue paint job, used Krylon Dual primer plus Paint, didn't affect the foam at all! Here is where I am at now, probably do more touch up in the future. Let me know what you think. For now, I am still a bit of chicken so I included a bit of dihedral when I reinforced the wings with CF rods.

You say chicken, I say smart. The paint job looks awesome. Just be sure to check the CG since any paint can throw it off balance. An unbalanced plane flies once!
