Turnigy Park480 Brushless Outrunner 1320kv or Turnigy Park480 Brushless Outrunner 850kv? The 850 is always on backorder from Hobbyking but seems to be the cheapest place to order from.

HK is a mixed bag; often cheap, yes, but often OOS, long waits, no customer service, and high shipping. Cheapest is not always best. Some of their stuff is pretty lousy. Do some comparative searching here-lots of choices: www.headsuphobby.com/370-450-Class_c252.htm$2 shipping, you'll have it in a couple days and fantastic service. Jeff is top notch. Earlier you indicated you simply wanted a reasonable upgrade. You might look as the slowfly 400. The 450/480 class is a significant power upgrade. You will have to think about weight balance a bit more as it's lots lighter than the stock system.

I'll check out your link. I still flew with the original lipo cub until now. Lipo is swollen and needs replacing so wanted to upgrade everything. I have plenty of great landings under my belt already and not afraid of more juice by now. If I was to get a good combo from headsup, what would be the way to go? I have a Spektrum DX5e and will add ailerons soon.

Write Jeff at HeadsUp or simply do some reading there. Some browsing on the site and you'll understand.

Thanks flydiver, that seems to be a great place. I started shopping just to realize they didn't have a receiver and can't ship batteries to Canada. Out here a battery starts at $45 and the receiver starts at $60. That's very frustrating and makes me just want to buy an Apprentice already sorry to say. Total parts for the cub would be $190 at least once I pay shipping and taxes here.

People love to mod the Cub. Personally I'm not as keen on it. It's a decent platform but others, like the Apprentice are already designed and built for it. The Apprentice is a good plane and there are others in the performance and price category. You might look at the T-28, but you need to be ready for a 'step up'. It's a lot faster and more agile but not terribly hard to fly if you don't push it.
Do you have the same kind of shipping costs from HK as the US? They have figured out shipping. Prices have gone up a lot in a the last couple years. Cheap prices, higher shipping.
Note-you might put your location in your profile. That can make a big difference for purchases.
