Many people like myself like to see reviews on certain planes and see what normal people think and fell about the plane. Many people make video's from unboxing, to building to flight .
Some video's are pretty outstanding and many RC Businesses make video reviews to sell their products which most all of them are great. But of course they have a big production ability , and they are out to sale, so the video could have been edited and pieced together and the plane worthless and maybe even many crashes we never see...just all the good things, none of the bad or it's true characteristics in flight or on the ground.
But in the bad weather days which is allot lately, I been watching You tube video's about certain planes, that I desire to own, but like to know more about. Many of the RC companies do not make video's of every plane, so most of us rely on the You tube video made by the people who purchased them. So that is where this complaint and rant and wonder comes in at.
Seems most every video done by a person who buys the product, takes the time to un-box, build and then fly. suddenly becomes brain dead or simply to engulfed in the moment.
Many do this or that, half the time I can not even understand what they are talking about, they ramble and go off subject, then once it is built and they appear at a field or highway or backyard, sometimes for a moment you see the plane on the ground or in ones hand...then suddenly it all disappears...a spec in the sky some rambling and mumbling comments, one might see a plane go by and I mean sometimes...and or somewhere it landed and you see a person walking across the screen.
What happened to opening a box...seeing it's contents, it explained what, where and why and How....then built step by step...then we actually get to see the plane fly? Most all we see is a spec in the sky if we are Lucky....and we come to learn we know less about a particular plane after the video, then before we watched it .
And as I asked before on other threads, why does everyone desire to fly out of sight ? I am not young and my eye-sight is not that great I guess ( no I do not wear glasses-maybe I should ?) But in the case of these video's I would need binoculars to even see a plane.
50 to 100 feet, mid height a couple stories high maybe three...but out of sight, why ? Sure if first flight need to trim and get altitude in case bad happens but the entire video ....why ?
Does everyone fly that way ? We have some pretty tall trees around here. Some several hundred feet high...If one had to fly over them i can understand, but in an open field or something why fly so high...at those heights one can hardly tell what the plane is doing and what corrections need to be made.....
Just my routine rant...but seriously...why bother to make a flight review of a plane and then fly so high even the camera can not see it and the people you intend to watch it, get no benefit of it ?
So any of you making a video, Please take in consideration the audience you intend to view it...if we can't see it, your video is useless to us.Then we take nothing you have to say as being true, and most likely will not visit any more of the videos you have made or will make in the future. Just so you know.
Have a Nice Day.
