I would like to get a new transmitter for some all around park flying(<$200). I want it to be long range with little to no interference.
I have been looking at the DX6i but I'd like to know what other txs are in its price range.
Will someone please recommend one to me?
Thanks, Gavin

When you fly at a park there is no control over frequencies. Anyone can show up and turn on a radio and possibly crash your plane. I would recommend you stay with a spectrum type system and not have to worry. If you choose the dx6 do not use the AR6100 rx, they are lighter but you won't get the range of the AR6000 which works fine on the SC.

I agree with Jim.
Definately stay away from the AR6100 if you got the Spektrum route. I've read too many posts where those RX have lost communication with the TX. Spektrum tried to fix the problem and offered a free flash upgrade to v1.2 (I might be wrong on the version #). But even with the updated version people are still have problems. I use an AR6000 in my SC and Swift and have never had a problem.

HobbyPeople.net has the Airtronics RD8000 for 199.99 (w/o servos) if you want to go that route.

The DX6i comes with the AR6200. Has anyone used it?
