Not been on here for a while. I hope his ops have gone to plan and hope he has a speedy recovery.
BTW his signature sounds like something a soul called Silver Birch would say........

Not sure where My lord CH is, but I seem to remember reading something on the MARMITE thread about him and Lady CH having an Antipodiean adventure planned, with designs on the natives to wean them from the evils of Vegemite, and bring them to the salvation that is MARMITE. Or something like that, anyway!

CRAZY HORSE LIVES! Yes, a few days ago the plaster was taken off my hand and arm! But, of course after all this time with my arm immobilised the flexibility of the wrist and thumb are somewhat restricted. Apparently it will take many months for the nerves, ligaments and bones to heal. No worries, I will do the physio and hopefully it will get sorted, little by little. Then, joy of joys, the stitches were removed from my knee.the scars on my wrist and knee are healing well. I shall of course tell the ladies that they are duelling scars and that severe punishment was inflicted upon the opponents that had the audacity to try and inflict harm to Crazy Horse. I have been attending to other matters and have therefore been away from the forum for a while, mainly trying to prepare for my eldest son's imminent arrival at our country house. He has been away for nearly 20 months so it will be a fine welcome, all the servants are excited and eager to welcome the "young master" on his return. Bless them, I shall give each of them an additional hour off this month, my generosity knows no bounds. Toff, my northern friend, do you really think that a journey to the other side of the world would stop me posting on the SCC forum? Nay sir, nay and thrice nay. I would miss you all far too much. The electronic communication equipment will accompany me on all travels and therefore contact will be maintained. hounddog, thank you for your thoughts and good wishes, they are much appreciated. As for my signature, yes, possibly Silver Birch, I believe it to be a quote from an unknown Cree. We must investigate further. Perhaps I ought to change it from time to time, who knows?

Huzzah sir! I am very pleased to hear your recuperation is moving forward ( albeit slowly). Before too long you will be back to running a mile, and swimming a mile, and thumb twiddling ( also possibly for a mile). Don't forget to give your eldest a hug! My boy is 16, and miss him awfully if he's gone for more than a day!

Toff,
Our lads are coming up to 30 and 27. Finest couple of chaps a man could wish to have for sons. Enjoy every moment with your lad, that time and joy spent together money can not buy.

Glad you are feeling better. Although I always felt you were too ornery to let a little operation keep you from spreading your unrelenting wit on these message boards!

Ian, Many thanks for your good wishes. I am pleased that you have not had to evacuate your house due to the fire, it must have been a worrying time for you. I think of those firefighters as well, people with a lot of guts, putting their lives on the line for the sake of others, I have nothing other than complete respect for them all. Apparently my recovery is nothing short of miraculous so far, the doctors are convinced that it is due to copious quantities of MARMITE being consumed.
