Servos

Hello Everyone,

I'm considering upgrading from the stock radio to my JR Tx/Rx. For those who have upgraded the radio, what servos did you choose?

After the radio upgrade, maybe I'll do the ailerons :-)

Well the hs-55's are a great cheaper route. Also the hs-81's are a direct fit and a little more money. I personally like the 81's better but they both work fine. Kevin

I used Spektrum S-75's. They were only $13 ea and they work great.

i used hs-55's cuz im cheap lol, but they do work well.

How did you all go about mounting the servos? Any details and pics? Especially for the hs-81's?

Another question: do the stock servo arms work on these other servos I've been asking about? Or would I need to make the new servo arms work in the Super Cub? Just curious since I haven't actually bought the servos...

Are the HS-55's and 81's fully compatible with Spektrum Rx's?

Yes. Most if not all three wire servos will work on that Rx.

I am in the process of upgrading my radio to a DX6i ;D and I am about to install some HS-81 servos. They are a perfect fit for the old mount but the three arms that came with the servos are to large to fit side by side . The arms that came with are 2 arm, 4 arm and a circle arm. Do I need to trim the 2 arm down to 1 arm or is there is a 1 arm available that will work . The old cub servo arm does not appear to fit.

It's pretty common to just cut the extra arms off the servos, so just get some cutters and cut the arms off to fit.
