Great looking paint job!
What do the underside of the wings look like? Standard or decorated?
I also like the coloured rubber bands, subtle touch.

Thanks for the compliment Crazy Horse. Wing undersides are white paint with orange stripes matching the over wing along with HZ dual black stripe decals. No struts yet because I'll just put them on last minute before maiden and tie together with spot tie so there is flex without torsion on the battery box. This was fun to make. Really glad I stumbled into this hobby a few months ago. Have a great week. PS: The Staples rubber bands are cheaper and seem to hold up better in UV conditions which is good because my beater hot rodded 3 channel Cub sits in the backseat of my truck ready to fly at any chance available.

I used some Rustoleum orange paint on a plastic taxi sign in the past. I had used some Rustoleum primer before applying the orange paint. The paint crinkled almost instantly as the paint and primer reacted to each other, despite both being Rustoleum products. I am hoping to paint my plane at a later date, as I ride an orange colored motorcycle and sidecar. It would be nice to have the Super Cub match the Dog Taxi sidecar, but I am concerned that the same issue may happen. Did you use a primer before shooting your orange paint on your plane or did you just use the paint? I had this same issue with spraying on a clear coat to the Rustoleum orange, too. The paint crazed on me when the clear was shot. In addition, the paint also crazed when I had done a previous taxi cab topper in Rustoleum black and used their same primer before shooting on the black paint. Thanks, Huey Attachments:
