Hey guys wanted to say hello to all the Super Cubers here, Just got my SC 2 weeks ago after selling my Champ on Ebay. The champ was too hard for me to control in my area of constant winds, plus every time I crashed ended with a broken wing which was glued on. On the other hand this time I took to my flight Sim while I waited for the SC to arrive. Boy what a different plane to a complete beginner like myself. I love this plane and it super fun to fly, It was probably my fault for not practicing with the Simulator before flying the champ which caused the crashes mostly, Im sure it would be a fun little plane now that I have a few flights under my belt but the SC is perfect for now, Boy what an addiction. Hello to everyone

The Champ is the new 'newbie' favorite, adored by everyone, suggested by hoards. They aren't worth a d**n in much wind though. Unfortunately the wind question is frequently ignored.

What is it about the Champ everyone likes, Me as a newbie didn't like the glued wing etc which took more time and materials to fix if crashed, granite i haven't had a bad crash yet on my super cub but why in the future would i want the Champ again. I love this sport!!

Under $100 (mostly) and flies pretty well....in the calm. Horizon name, reliability, and parts. Light weight tends to crash lightly and not break so badly.
Crash your Cub good, you'll see. Translate all those Champ crashes to the Cub and then figure in the repairs. Yes, you would have crashed it, just as often if not more. Just screwing up the ESC/RX 'brick' (a common problem) will set you back half the price of the Champ.
