Wow, you live in a whole different world up there, Ian - a far cry from my own built-up, overcrowded corner of southern England.
I have always cherished the thought of being able to climb into my own little plane and fly to my heart's content, over countryside and lakes.
Your second pic (the blue Super Cub) really gets me envious! To think, some lucky so-and-so gets to fly that!
Thanks for posting the great pix.

Now they are some big scale RC planes you guys have up there, i like how you scale all the scenery and fuel tank, gives it that 'real' feel, Nice pictures Ian, keep em coming, i would post some but i have some giant round yellow burning thing in them and would hate to upset CH or renard, lol

In the third picture down, did anyone else notice the large jar of MARMITE just inside the cockpit of the aircraft on the left?

Ah yes, The wonderful taste of MARMITE has been known to have that euphoric effect with those of a discriminating and educated palate. They must be English pilots then? Or perhaps not, English pilots don't crash, they just have slightly bumpy landings.

It's ok guys, I think they use Marmite AND Vegemite to grease their wheels in the event of an emergency.
I think that this part of Alaska is just gorgeous. The Kenai peninsula is where these photos were taken. I also learned that down the road from my house is a bush plane airport with a grass strip. I am going to head over there and gather some more photos for you guys. It is quite nice when you get buzzed by these planes on a daily basis. I think my wife is starting to understand my obsession....

Ian, These are great photo's, I am really looking forward to seeing more. I live a few miles from a small airport and it is great seeing the light aircraft pass over our on their flightpath. Especially as I have had the good fortune to fly a Piper P28 myself. No take-offs or landings I hasten to add, but being allowed to take the controls for a good long time when aloft, dive, regain height, and "buzz" my Mum-in-law's house (she did not realise it was me at the time) was unforgettable. Lady CH is very encouraging and understanding with the RC obsession and a Cub is being prepared just for her.
