Here is my 1st radio installatio EVER!! w00t. This was a very exciting project for me. Probably the most simple things to others but to me I felt like I really accomplished something here!! Now I just need the control horns and rods and stuff for the ailerons!!!

Hi. I just installed my new receiver, and servos and brushless motor tonight. I am not gettin enough travel on my rudder servo HS8,by looking at the picture above, is that blue servo arm longer?? And is the reason you used it to get more travel? Thanks.

Hi timn. Sounds like you need to adjust your end points on your TX. (EPA/ATV)

Hi SCC, I'm usin a HiTec Laser 4. I seem to be fully adjusted out, but still not the rudder travel of the stock set up, in fact not really even close. I seem to be getting a total of 40 degrees total travel only. on the HS81.
Check that, I meant 80 degrees total travel.

Swap the channels around to see if the problem goes to the other servo. I'm not too good at working out degrees ;D Here are pics of my servo movement. Just another thought. You might have some dual rate dialed in on your rudder channel

swappedd em. Same distance. I guess that's all I get. I guess it's enough, just seems short of what those old cheepy stockers did. The HS81's sure are quick. This should be fun to fly set up when all done.

Hey tim, I think it is your ATV on channel 2. Check your radio's manual for the ATV adjust. I bet this is your problem. Kevin

HS81's total travel distance is 90 degree's... 45 up from center and 45 down from center... That should be PLENTY???
