The only thing to really look for on these is centering. I have tried several cheaper servo's and found that 90% of them do not center well. If only being used for drop mods and such then it wouldn't matter much. If they center well please inform me. I would try some more if they are good enough for ailerons and such.

Well, they came in today! Just a quick over on them and they fit right in for a direct replacement of the HZ servo's... I dont have an ESC yet so I cant test them electronically yet...

Well, I just looked at my RX and the servo plugs are different. My Polk Hobbies Seeker II RX has a smaller rectangle plug with a little lip at the end. These plugs are just traight up rectangles and are a little bigger than my RX wants. Guess I will have to go to the LHS and see if they have connectors so I can change the plugs on these servo's. This kinda ticks me off because I emailed the guy and asked him if they would fit and he said yep 100% sure they will fit..

So, is it your Rx thats UN conventional or the connectors on the servos.??

The HZ uses non standard servos. You won't get aftermarket ones that are standard won't plug in and work.

Well, They actually fit. I thought they were too big for my RX but they are not. They are just VERY snug. However after removing the stock radio gear I found these servo's are smaller than the stock servos. I might just use some HS-55's for the rudder/elevator and the smaller ones for the ailerons... At least I know they fit now. I guess I was a little timid with plugging them in the 1st time. (This is my 1st radio gear experience) I am also in the process of picking up a lipo battery / charger..

What do you mean by centering? I am guessing I found out? To install my HS-81's I plugged them into the RX and turned everything on. Once the RX was powered up I installed the little arm at 90 deg (one left and one right). Then powered everything off. (Is there a better method?) When I tried this with the cheapo servo's I couldnt attach the arms at exactly 90 deg. It was either a little higher or a little lower because the teeth didnt line up directly at 90. Is this the problem you were refering to?

Nope...I mean once you have everything installed and hooked up and you make an input like elevator up lets say. The servo should go back to center once you release the stick. Some of the cheaper servo's do not like to return to their home position (0). If you need to get your plane trimmed out use the ends of the pushrods that are connected to the control surfaces and twist them to fit perfectly with your radio trims centered. Once you are happy with the set up go fly and use the trims on your radio to fine tune it. If you require a bunch of trim once in the air...land and make more adjustments with the connector on the end of your pushrods. Hope this helps, Kevin

Product Name: Dynam Servos Product Description: High Performance Servo weight:8.4g Torque:4.8V 1.5kg-cm Speed:4.8V 0.12sec/60° Size(mm): 24×11×24 Those ebay sevos are dynams, I must say these servos are faster then the hitec HS-55s. I haven't had any problems with lost centering. I used hot glue to install them, just like I did with the HS-55 servos I had in my other SC setup.
