Ok so it happened ;D over confident, little bit of wind and bang, snap, fall, ground, there comes to rest my trusty cub.... Walking over thinking the worst... And I find damage, not that much but still damage, I thought of calling an ambulance but then realised they would ask questions so I picked up my cub and its pieces and headed home for surgery, So results are in, wing snapped clean in half, prop slightly bent (not snapped?) crack in cowling (no big deal) main point is all fixable... And there is even better news........ I caught it all on film at a really good angle in full HD, so watch this space it should be here later on... I will try and put a picture for now... Back story on the accident: flying under and over some football posts, gust of wind flips it slightly sideways at the wrong time and wing hits crossbar at decent speed, rips it clean off in the air the sails into the ground, I think the hit slowed it down dramatically...

Oh, those d**n football posts, always moving around and grabbing flying things. Please post the video soon and apologies in advance for any mirth on my part.

Nothing a bead of Foam-Tac won't fix, it'll be good as new!

I like it, always an eye for a bit of business. LOL, I do sell the product, but it's the truth regardless. Every other glue is simply that... glue. Foam-Tac actually creates a chemical bond between the two pieces of foam. It's not a [foam]-glue-[foam] repair. It's a [Foam-Foam] repair. It maintains the same rigidity/flexibility of that area as it had before the crash (ie no rigid spot creating a new stress point). In any event, I'm currently out of stock on it right now, so you'll have to buy it elsewhere at the moment ;D

Thanks for bumping this classic post of someone who can laugh despite his despair!
I recall thinking when the video was first posted: this is Sod's Law at work. There's a bloody great field with three insignificantly tiny metal tubes. Even when the flyer tempts fate by trying to fly through the posts, there's a relatively enormous area of free space. But does he get through? Nah, course not! Sod's Law comes into play and he hits that tiny crossbar . . .
Sod's Law is immutable.
