Yes indeed. Mine's a Mythos if you are going to the bar or if they don't have that, a large Alfa will do. Yasass, thelo tria meghala mythos parakalo. It's all Greek to me chum. Love the sunshine. Might I have a pint of real ale, or six, perhaps? With all that water, shall we take our floats for the Cubs?

New to forum and I desire to know all the in's and out's of what I purchase. The Cub as the ACT System everyone says turn off. I am sure crashes tell them why. BUT in my own desire I inquired at Horizon Hobbies Technical Dept. about the act system. Here is what they told me and I quote : "The system is designed to help keep level flight. The system is based on light maintaining a level flight. It is not the greatest system. You really don't need it. I would advise disconnecting the ACT system. The plane is a high wing trainer, very stable and easy to control. I have two super cubs, I never use ACT system and I have never crashed. "
No real explanation to my question about that system to them, but they were direct and to the point. Not saying I did not believe the many experienced pilots on this forum, just my curiosity as to why they tout this so called "Anti Crash Technology" but it is useless to those who buy this product with the false premise that their ACT System will help them learn to fly and help them Not crash. The very thing that has caused most all of us to get away from this Hobby in years past.
I will add had it not been for the many positives about the Cub on this forum and others, I may have went another way trying to fulfill a dream I have had most my life. I love the Cub, for many reasons, but I also had my sights on other products. The ACT idea appealed to me and it was on a Cub, which made it better. BUT again after reading many bad reports, I almost passed it up because of it.
Now my inquiry has bought me to this point, and it's my desire if anyone reads this post they to will consider what is actually being stated. NOTHING will help you fly successfully or poorly for that matter except Flying itself. My understanding from most all Pilots on this forum is the Super Cub is a very easy to fly plane , plus a very forgiving one, and especially one that can be easily repaired in back in the air in a very short time.
Seems a simulator and patience will allow you to fly successfully , far more than any so called ACT system would have even if it did work like they claimed. The ACT is a failure in every way.And Hobby Zone needs to put a disclaimer to their advertising, in that manner, because it has cost many people a good plane, and many dollars.
So for all who read this simply UNPLUG the ACT wires and tape them out of the way and clear from everything. ( they only hook to the sensors anyway ) FYI, I have yet to fly my Cub, and I am currently working on some Mods for it and going to put in some hours on a Simulator before I do. I am also trying to get involved in a local Club, to use their field . If not , I have a location all my own and will learn on my own, the very thing as I understand this Cub will indeed allow me to do, and without any ACT system , which seems to be what most everyone is doing.
