Thanks for posting the video, I enjoyed it a lot. Who is flying the Cub? You or your brother? A very good pilot by the looks of things, but I did not quite catch his/your name though,( age related hearing loss) was it Gareth? Garret? Has anybody ever said that he looks like Buddy Holly? It is the glasses and hair and youthful looks. No offence meant, Buddy Holly was a rock and roll star in the late 1950's from Texas. I have no idea where you are from, would you be kind enough to update your profile, it makes things more interesting. Once again, a good first video, shame about the "music", but then I am an old boy! Oh sorry, just watched it again, does Penn state mean Pennsylvania? I am after all English and we sometimes get confused with each others abbreviations. ;D

Crazy Horse, Thanks for your comments! I was flying for the majority of the video, though my brother, Garrett, did fly for a portion of it as well. We are indeed from Pennsylvania. Penn State is the big university here, and is where we both attend. I was assuming that you were from South Dakota, as there is a very large carving of a Native American chief named Crazy Horse there. Guess I was wrong! Believe it or not, I am quite familiar with Buddy Holly, though I never noticed that similarity. You're right, though! Tell you what, next video I'll use some ragtime or swing music... make the video more pleasing to your old ears I'll get right on that profile! Ben

You are the business! Crazy Horse was one of the finest Oglala Sioux warriors to have lived, IMHO. I know about the carving, doesn't do him justice, looked better in real life (not that I would really know). LOL.
As for the music, you have given me a real laugh, thank you, I would prefer either ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix or Vera Lynn (look her up), As regards the native Americans, I have had a life-long love of their way of life, values and traditions. I have painted many portraits of them, some of them copies after a great artist named Howard Terpning, who is, IMHO the finest artist portraying these wonderful people.
Post more videos as soon as you can, together with "Buddy Holly" mark 2.
Thanks Ben and Garrett! ;D

Ben, I have just noticed your signature. "When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return." That is totally brilliant. Are those your words or those of another? I don't think that I will ever forget that phrase. Awesome old chap!
I have had the great good fortune to fly in a real trainer on two occasions, the last, on my birthday, trusted to turn with ailerons and kick the rudder to dive hard over Beachy Head quite close to where I live, whilst buzzing my Mother-in-Law's house, yes, she saw it, watched and did not believe it was me until later. My eldest son (who was in the back of the aircraft taking pictures and video) was trying very hard not to be airsick, whilst I had the biggest smile you can imagine and doing it all over again after gaining height.
As you say, once you have tasted flight, there you will always long to return. I do, every day of my life.

A nice video, my vulpine friend, and well put together. I enjoyed that. Just a well-intentioned tip: Whenever I see a RC aircraft flying close to parked cars, I am reminded that a certain Aussie (an experienced flyer who shall remain nameless) accidentally punched an impressive, and expensive, hole into someone's bodywork with the nose of his Super Cub. Take care - operating your aircraft near to cars could invalidate your insurance in the event of a mishap!

Good tip, renard! I haven't hit one yet, but there's an unfortunate first for everything. Crazy Horse, I, too, am a big admirer of the native American way of life. That quote is often attributed to da vinci, but no one really knows who said it. As soon as the weather becomes reasonable, we'll get out and do another, this time with ailerons, hopefully!
