has any one have any tips on soldering the wire back onto the battery? I have one wire off, but when I solder it back on, it doesn't want to stay does it take a different type of solder or what? any help would be greatful

The battery skin is aluminum. If there is absolutely no residual solder left on it you'll have to get aluminum flux and a pretty decent sized soldering iron to stick.
Usually you just need enough heat to re-attach to the old soldered spot. If not, you likely aren't applying enough heat properly. You have to melt the solder ON the battery, then put the tinned wire into that. You won't have much success trying to melt/solder the wire onto the battery.

thanks flydiver I sermized it was aluminum, I bought aluminum solder, but I used the wrong fluxs, boy when they break at the battery theirs not much residue left! thanks again

I've never had it break off the battery skin. Mine always have broken where the wire enters the solder. I just melt the solder remains and stick the wire back in.
