Hi Guys
Has anyone modified their Cub to work on the 35Mhz band? I live in the UK and 27Mhz is banned at my flying club 9due to the risk of interferance from model cars and boats etc.
As I fly my other models on 35Mhz it makes sense to convert the cub, so if anyone knows how to do it I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Dave. Do you mean modifying the Super cub electronics to 35 Mhz??

Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but i assumed the system would send me an e-mail if somebody replied to my post, and, as it didn't, I figured that nobody had responded! So once again, sorry.
To answer your question, yes, I mean converting the Super Cub from working on 27Mhz radio to 35Mhz radio so that i can fly it at my club.
Thanks in advance.
Dave

What they don't know won't hurt them. If they ask tell them it has been modified to 35 mhz. Pull the stickers off that identify it as a 27 mhz and fly it. There is no rule restricting these from airplane use. They are generally used in cars and boats because of the lower cost and reduced need for long range. It is getting rare that you see it in a car now. just like is is rare that you see it in a plane except the lowest cost ones. Just about all aftermarket car radios are on 75 now. A few ready to run cars may have 27 such as Traxxas but the range is so short that unless the car is being run at your field interference is unlikely. Most people replace the stock radio soon anyway. The only common interferance on 27 mhz is a CB radio.
