So, as the video explains, I took off relatively easily in soft snow...until I clipped a chunk of ice with my right front ski, snapping the ski in two pieces. I had to fly around the lake I was at, line up for a landing, and try to dead stick it as best I could....The video was captured in my garage after my rough landing and just shows the damage that was done. I am glad my GoPro wasn't up in the air. The damage was modest with only the fairings breaking, but still counts as a crash. Stupid ice! Apparently, below freezing temperatures make plastic brittle??? HOGWASH!!! Oh well, back to tundra tires. ;D youtu.be/K5TRHpfEGAQ

Too bad. Have you tried the Tundra tires? How do they work in the snow?

They work as good as they can work. I got 3-3/4" DuBros which cut through nice, but still, you can't beat skis on snow. I have used tundra tires for a while....landing on grass has yet to happen since we had snow on the ground since October.

Hey,I dont know if youve tried it, but if you have some old floats laying around they work great in the snow.
