I just purchased this Lipo bag with volt checker/ warning alarm from Amazon. Has anyone used the volt checker/warning alarm? How well do they work? Thanks for the help. I am basically wanting to get make sure I don't overdrain the stock and new 2200mah battery I just bought.

I have what appears to be the same checker. Cut off seems to be reasonably accurate. I found as an alarm it wasn't all that useful to me. For my planes I couldn't hear it at usual flying distances.

How does this thing work? It goes in the plane?

I believe it connects to your battery while you fly.

Mine plugs into the balance tap. Mine has the ability to program the cut off alarm.
Frankly learning to fly by time is generally the most frequent recommendation. You can buy timers cheap. Some TX have it as part of the programming.

I get mine tomorrow so I will see how it goes. I just finished cutting up the battery box to fit my new Tenergy 2200mah battery (charged it with stock super cub charger and no issues).

OK, I just use my watch timer personally. I hear a beep, time to land. Seems cheaper also! Maybe if I own a $400 RC plane I will invest in something such as this alarm. For now, I will just stick to the hour glass method!

I received the item on Friday. Works great! alarm is loud and gives us volts on each cell and has adjustable alarm. Would recommend!

Set the LVC pretty high and then take it for a flight making sure you hit the cut off with some battery left. See if you can actually hear it over distance and flight noise.
It does sound pretty loud indoors when testing.

It does sound pretty loud indoors when testing. So does my wife, but thankfully outdoors, distance usually makes things bearable! ;D
