youtu.be/3BWNknkc-JYThis was shot back in October before the tree incident.....didn't realize that my memory card was almost full, so the video cut out in under 3 minutes.

I like it. The shadow at the 1:28 mark looked pretty neat!
How do you fly on an AF base? I work on a navy base and they'd give me a security force escort out the gate if I even THOUGHT about launching there.

Can't be any where near the aircraft.....I fly about a mile away from the flightline.

Interesting. When I wanted to join the Patuxent Aeromodelers, www.paxaero.com/ I was first required to join the Academy of Model Aeronautics, www.modelaircraft.org/ and their bylaws state that members do not fly within 3 miles of airports. I work aboard the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, and even the flying of kites is prohibited. It kills me to drive to and from work every day and see all that wide open air and all of that paved runway & taxiway and know I'll find myself in hot water if I fly there.

Lol. I think all the bush traffic that skirts by the base is a little more of a hazard to F16's than my Super Cub. The F16's don't fly over housing or other populated areas. The only other aircraft I see over base is the Alaska pipeline helicopters. They fly just as close to the line and about 3 times higher altitude. They don't allow RC aircraft near the flight line. Most of the pilots however have RC planes. I don't fly on base anymore....to many trees. I go out to the flood canal......hard to avoid a runway in this state also. They are littered everywhere.
