Got the Cub in the air today and then the low batt warning beep started. I must admit i did panic slightly. Everything was OK, it came back in without loosing any control I worked it out that i had 15 outings with the cub, and flew 2 packs per outing, so 30 flights @ 7 mins per flight =3hrs 10 min I am pretty happy with that.

Yeah I would be doing back flips if my rechargeable battery in this new Hi-Tec Laser lasts half that long.
The battery is only a Nicad 9.6V 600MAh, I will look into other options.
Good control of yourself when thrown that curveball for the first time.

Paul,
I'm new enough at this that I've only had the tx batteries run low once. I was way up high and I'll admit I was scared that I would lose control on the way down. Didn't have any trouble. The batteries I have in the tx now seem to be lasting longer. They should be about dead.

Hi Todd Definitely a shocker the first time it happens. Upto that point i kind of forgot about the TX batterys, its a good feature they have included. I left the TX beeping for a couple of minutes and walked about 40 ft away, and the rudder & elevator servos were still responding. I have put some Duracels in, which will probably last longer than the ones that came with the kit.
