Hello from SD. My name is Marc and I am new to flying RC planes. I do have a few RC helicopters and love flight so I just had to get a plane. After much research I decided on the SC and could not be more pleased. I have no aspirations to be a bad ass RC pilot but rather have another way to slow life down and chill. Already in the process of upgrading Tx, and esc. I did install a FPV cam just above the wing which turned out great.

Welcome. Is it starting to get pretty chilly there now?
If you like to slow down and chill....once the winter chill is off SD you might look into a thermal glider like the Radian unless you have a lot of wind issues.

Wind is always an issue here LOL as in we usually have too much. Tomorrow looks like a great day with temps in the 50's and winds 2-3 I feel a sick day coming

Thoought wind might be a problem. Many thermal gliders are deliberately slow. If you did go that direction in the future that variable would be something to consider.
Hope 'thumb therapy' gets you well fast.
