Hey all. I have been posting on other boards but finally decided to introduce myself. I live on Eielson AFB outside of North Pole Alaska. I got my cub last week and already have taken her out on ten flights. It is in the negatives right now with snow so skis are getting more use than the tundra tires. I got a lot of time on the Champ before I got my cub, so just getting used to more power and weight was the only challenge. This plane has been a dream, and once I get my navigation lights on I plan on posting a pic or two of my cub with the sunrise at 1130. The advice on the forum has been wonderful, but I have one question..... What do the sizes mean? Like 40 size or 15 size or "park flyer"? My brain hurts becuz of this..... Anyways, as I torture test LiPo batteries up here I will post results on keeping them functional in arctic conditions, and if I had any noticeable loss of power.....if anybody is interested. ;D Have a great night/day!

GREETINGS! I haven't posted in the "Introduce yourself" thread yet, but I think as long as I hang around and post on topics, everyone will learn enough about me...HaHaHa!! I'm new to all this too. I have an awesome slice of "air space" close to home and learn every day...including this afternoon! Happy flying!!

I lucked out living on an Air Force base, plenty of fields and flat areas. Unfortunately, hitting a street light at max throttle was apparently a BAD idea. I shattered my cub into about 6 pieces yesterday.....fortunately, the cub is resilient and EASILY REPAIRABLE. I guess as long as I don't fly my SC up a mooses butt I should be fine! They for angry when things like that happen...very angry...
