Hallo all, found this superb site recently.....

Just to say today was my first day on earth having flown an RC plane....I love my Super Cub! Flew for about 10 minutes, couple of 'not quite right' landings on long waterlogged grass....hand launched due to grass length.....even hit a rugby post....my goodness it's a tough bird....cracked the cowling - who hasn't?

Thanks....have discovered that sand (local beach) is a lot less forgiving than long grass....all the strengthening tips on here are correct!!!! Bulkhead cracked, cowl in bits, wing mounts on fuselage a bit mis-shapen and even the servo's jumped out of their holes....but good fun repairing....

Have just spalshed out on a 48" trainer balsa kit (looks very similar to the supercub) to enjoy building when the weather is bad....
