Hi all, My name is Jim and new to this forum. I have a coup[le of years flying experience but that was approx 7 years ago after which I have not flown. I started scratch building a super caub back then but never completed it. I have now decided to carry on with the project and thought I would look to this forum for help and advice. The plane was a very small plan which I have blown up to make a model approx 1.91 metre wing span. I had to use thicker balsa than what was on the plan and basically use my imagination as I went along. Many say the plane will not fly as after seven years I have lost the original plans and I amd making it up from now on. However, the fuselage and wings were already made s what's left is the covering of the plane and wings and finding a way to attach the wing to the fuselage as I cannot remember how it was attached in the first place. Besides with the small plan it may have been attached using rubber bands which is out of the question for a plane this size. the parts were not laser cut but cut by hand and being my very first attempt at scratch building they did not come out as straight as I thought. However the overall picture does not look bad.

I had built the under carriage but over the years and since moving house cannot find it. I might just buy a pre built one or see if i can build it again. I have built flaps onto the wings just for a trial to see how it works. Never flown rc planes with flaps before so we will see what happens. For the experts out there: what size engine do you think would fly this plane comfortably? Wing span 1.91metres as for weight not sure yet.
regards
jim
