Canadian Northern Ontario Float Flying

Hi All,

This post is to thank you all for your many, many tips, tricks and advice that I have read over the last three years.
Even though I have many other models, I will always have a special place in my heart for this particular one.

I just spent one solid week up in Northern Ontario Canada float flying my Project Cub. Although I only got a couple flights in due to windy conditions, I was extremely impressed with how graceful she flew off water. Not as hard as I thought.

I didn't want to chance any risky flights with my project cub so I took along a stock one for all the crazy flying. You can even see as I fly the stock cub from a speed boat. What a blast!!!

Hi Steve. Fantastic video. Very entertaining.
The project cub looks great with the lights and the dark sky in the back ground. Flying the stock cub whilst motoring along in the boat was great.

Your vid makes me want to buy a cub and go on holiday to the lake district for a week. ;D

Thank you so much for the reply Paul. I was quite moved to see that an administrator to the SCC comented on my vid.
This was my first experience as an RC Float Flyer, it sure adds another great dimention to an already fantastic hobby.

I agree this was awesome! I would really like to paint mine piper yellow. I love piper cubs! But the lights were just an amazing touch!

Where abouts in N. Ontario was this? I have family in North Bay. Looks like I better bring my Super Cub with me next time and find a spot.

Great touch flying the plane from a boat, as well.
