I have a Spectrum Dx6i and a Dx4e. I want to buddy box them and do not have the manuals. can anyone help me with this??

The Master is bound to the plane. The Master must be turned ON. The Slave is NOT bound. The Slave MUST BE OFF! When the cable is plugged in it will turn on, but only the sticks turn on, the transmitter portion does NOT.
The Slave must be set up and trimmed to control the plane completely. If you trip the switch from Master > Slave and the control surfaces move then you have to do some trimming. Make SURE control surfaces move properly.
Agree-get the Speltrum/JR cable. Sometimes you can get away with a Mono-sound cable but the Spektrum TX are notoriously cable finicky.
