Hey all, Trav here. I am new to RC planes, and I am trying to decide which plane to buy. I will be starting off on my own as there aren't any clubs near me. I am choosing between the HZ Champ and the HZ Super Cub RTF. I feel like if I buy the champ I will just be upgrading to the Super Cub shortly after so why not just jump straight to the Super Cub. The only flight sims I have ever used were FSX and Microsoft Flight. Thanks for the help.

Hello and welcome! I am just as new as you and had the same idea and ended up with the Super Cub and it is on it's way in the mail. I am getting ready to order the Clearview flight sim here in a minute, I found a lot people saying good things about it and it is affordable compared to other $200.00 flight sims. If I get sucked into this like I did my RC trucks and boats then I can allways buy a better sim! Here is the link to what I am getting... rcflightsim.com/index.htmlGood luck!

I actually bought the Champ and received it today. It did not turn out too well. I think I am going to return it and try out RC trucks.

Before you give it up, invest in a Phoenix flight simulator. I have one, put my grandson on it for 3 hours, and the next day he was flying the plane like a pro. The simulator flies just like the plane and it has quite a few cool planes on it! On Amazon for a little over 100 bucks.
