So I joined my local r/c club and they boast that they have "38 members and growing". They have a Facebook page that I waited for a month to join before I cancelled my request to join cause it took so long and only had one member. Now, I would like to try flying my 4 channel plane but I need some help. So I email the person in charge of the club and I get this response "most likely someone is there on the weekends and you can ask them". Problem is I work 6 days on then 6 days off, so I rarely get to go on the weekend (which I stated when I asked him for help) and provided that it's not too windy.
So much for an r/c group being there for support when you just have to help yourself anyways. At least I get more help here.

Got a LHS? Go in and ask the owner to help connect you with some local fliers or find out where they fly and when, then just show up.

Well that's why I joined the club is because we don't have a LHS. But as it turns out, people just go to the field when they have the free time. Rarely do I ever see anyone else there.

I hope that you find someone to help you, but when I went too four channel I realized that one differents is that, with three channels the turn by rudder is more of a yaw turn with some banking of the wings, with ailerons the turn is with more banking of the wings, so bump the sitck in the direction of the turn, when the wings tilt ,and the nose drop, give some up elevator, the longer you give up elevator, the tighter the turn. I hopes this helps some.

What 4 channel plane is it? My personal advice is become really proficient on the 3 channel cub, then just go for it with the four channel. Just remember, easy on the sticks, and keep high up. You'll be suprised how quickly 4 channel flying becomes second nature, and how annoying 3 channel planes are when the turning control isn't the aileron!
