What methods does everyone use to remove the spinner on the SC? I have to use pliers to remove it as I cannot by hand, this damages the spinner and damages the paint that I have applied. Is there a better method? Thank you ;D Chris

It appears some of them are pretty loose (mine) and some seem like they are put on with a substance making CA look weak. Go figure. Can't even get spinner quality assurance right. It's just rubber on a threaded shaft. Unscrew it? Mine pulled off without much effort at all.
Paint the spinner? You are a cub FANATIC! I threw mine away. ;D

Is there a better method? Chris Yes, Chris, there is a better method. Upgrade to a brushless motor! Its metal spinner will have a handy little hole, into which you insert a little rod to easily unscrew the spinner. Seriously, though, flydiver is correct. The plastic stock spinner either flips off easily or has to be removed with brute force and considerable cursing - especially if you have nosed-in a couple of times, thereby jamming it on. FWIW, I remember posting a similar plea for help shortly after getting my first SC. It's a very annoying accessory.

I followed the advice in one of the other posts. You fold the two loose ends of the spinner forward, away from the cowl. That gives you enough room to unscrew it. Actually, you will be unscrewing the nut that holds on the prop. Just a few counterclockwise turns of it and you can see it is going to unscrew completely off and things will be OK. Once off you can just let the two little flaps on the spinner go back to their normal position. It will retain its original shape.
Gotta love this forum. Every problem I have encountered, someone else has seen it before!
