Thanks for all the info, its very helpful. Im still just trying to get the nimh to charge for the time being, but if it is dead, that is fine. I would like to get lipo if they are dead, but im not totally sure what needs to be done. 1. Yes ive got the charger. 2. Do i need to mod my plane somehow? 3. What other things would i need to do?

Oh, and it seems to me that the charger will only let me set the cutoff voltage for the discharge at 0-20mv, not 1V. What should i do?

1. you need a lipo compatable charger. 2. their is a black jumper on the ESC/RX on the stock cub electronics, that needs to be pulled out in order to use lipos in the plane. (search on this site many pics of it) 3. Read and search on lipos, safety, charging, etc....example when you charge lipos you charge them at 1C there capacity. example. a 3-cell 2200mah lipo battery would get charged at no more then 2.2Amps. A 1800mah battery would be 1.8Amps, 1500 would be 1.5 amps etc.. move the decimal point 3 places to the left and you have your charge rate. Lipos seem hard at first, overwhelming and scary, they did to me anyway, but no bad at all, read and leanr, you will be fine, most of it is common sense.
