Hi, I modified my battery box which in the same time I modified how the wing struts are attached to it. How much the wing should go back up before being retained by the wing struts??? If I have a bit more loose than stock, what will it affect during flight?

the bigger flex could result in a wing snap on a powerful pull up from a dive or something like that. I put a carbon fibre rod in mine and has no flex, i love it

If you put a carbon rod, do you still use the wing struts? Or removed them?

Bit more? That's not too descriptive. The struts keep the wing from over flexing under stress. If they move up several inches over normal that will not be good for the wings over time. If they flex 1/8 or 1/4 inch more that will hardly make a difference.

OK, the thing is that I modded the plane, So I don't know exactly original flexing!!! So hard to compare before and after!!! Can somerone mesure the flex of stock wings and struts? Ill mesure what I have on mine soon.

I can't help with measurements but can tell you the struts are slightly loose while sitting and if you pick it up by the wing tips they immediately tighten up with almost no wing flex at all.

I get about 2 inches of flexing and end of the wings, looks not too bad, but really don'T remember how much it was bending before mods....

There are 2 ways to put rods in, with and without dihedral. It makes a BIG difference. Most folks do it as part of the aileron mod, flatten the wing and put the carbon rod in to keep it flat and stiffen it up. Here's the way to do it and keep the dihedral. supercubclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=ws&thread=1228You don't need the struts if you do the mod correctly. You still should reinforce the wing saddle as there is even more force on it now.
