It is almost a certainty nowadays that someone starting out in RC will use lipos and will not have a clue about proper use and safety. This is a potentially dangerous situation and can have grave consequences. Luckily the actual accident rate is quite low but if it happens to you, it's not a desirable occurrence. Fires do start, houses and cars have burned to the ground. It happens.
