Just wanted to say hello to all. I'm new to flying but have been in RC for years. Flying was one of those things I was always afraid of because of the obvious. I started looking into a little more a few weeks ago and based on what i've read, I picked up a Hobbyzone SC as well as the Phoenix 3 simulator a couple of days ago. I have yet to get the airplane out due to work, but I have been spending lots of time on the sim. If flying is anything like the sim, I'm going to really enjoy this hobby. I already have my eye on a micro now, haha. Anyhow, I look forward to learning from all of you as I go down this path.

Welcome to the club Flying on a sim is nice , and you can get in some flight time, but it doesn't compair with going out to the field and really flying your own plane. Im just waiting for the weather to break, and the longer day light so I can fly (I don't like flying in the cold), and by the time I get off work its getting dark. But the days are getting longer and spring will soon be here,

We haven't had much good weather here in Montana either, BUT yesterday was perfect, sunny, warm, no wind to light wind. It was a blast getting to fly again, and learning to do hammer heads. Welcome to the board omalley72!
