Just bought one of these from evilbay, as a replacement for my sadly missed radian. Just wondering if any members have had one, and what they thought of it. The plane I've bought had no motor/ spinner/prop, and just for a change I've fitted a speed 600 brushed motor and 30A ESC, with a 10x8 prop. Seems powerful enough, but I've got to say, the whole thing weighs a ton! Actually 53 oz, or 1.5 kg for the metric. I'll be suprised if it flies!

Just retested this on the watt meter with a 9x6 and a fresh 3s pack - 420+ watts and 40 amps. Brilliant - except I only have a 30 amp esc! Going to have to rethink this one!

Ok, I'm getting told off for not knowing my electrics.... Now bought a brushless for this..... www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280706224794?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649I'm looking at an 11x8 folding prop and spinner, and using a 25c 2200 3s lipo to power it all. Oh, and a turnigy 40 amp esc (Not yet arrived, so I can't do a watt-meter test on it.) Since I'm dense as lead, what is the mathematical formulae to arrive at this? Will this esc do? And using this formulae, is this the most efficient prop for this motor? As far as I can determine, I need 100 watts per lb. This model weighs roughly 1.5lbs, therefore 300 watts should be more than enough. This motor is rated at 520 watts ( which should be vertical!) I have tried using the online calculators, but these seem to be for the branded motors, and the majority seem inclinded towards nicads rather than lipos, so not asking seems churlish.
