Welcome aboard. Some time spent reading can go a long way to making your first outing more successful and less damaging.

Welcome to the hobby and good luck!
As flydiver infers, it's good to curb impatience. The SC instruction book gives the impression that all anyone needs to do is unpack it, build it and fly away. Not true, unfortunately!
You are being wise in doing your homework first. There is loads of good advice on here from many people who have learnt their lessons the hard way . . .
Have fun!

I tought myself to fly with the cub, it a learning prosess, but when I got the hang of it, it was a thrill a munite, now Im just itching for the weather to break, but I was able too get a couple of flights in, in january. You'll do fine just take your time, and you'll be flying in no time

I'm pretty new here too, listen to what these guys have to say, it really does help. Don't worry too much about damaging your cub either (although still try not to), she's surprisingly tough, and very easy to fix in most cases ;D
