Ok, so I ordered a new zippy 2200 mah and want to cut a slot in the bottom of the battery box so I can velcro the battery in vertically. Problem is, I recently glued the crap out of my battery box in the fuselage and it's going to be d**n hard to remove it. I wish I wouldn't have done this now. Do you think I can modify and cut the box without removing it from the fuselage?

I think you can with a small soldering iron if you're carefull. Glue doesn't stick to that stuff very well. It might be easier than you think to remove.

Dremel would work. Valuable tool in this sport.

Maybe I could get in there with a box cutter and cut the section out

I've done 3 or 4 with a Dremmel tool and a sharp burr without removing the box. No biggie really. Just take your time. No need for velcro if you cut carefully for a snug fit. Then glue a chanel of scrap foam to the inside, top, front of the cavity in the fuse to wedge the battery when installed. I also put a little foam in the front of the battery box. If you can be patient I'll post a pic of mine tomorrow.

Hi Paul. Just copy and paste the img code from photo bucket straight into your post. No need to put it into the img brackets.
