Just became a member. I just picked up a super cub last week and have been flying daily. First few flights ended up crashing, breaking propellers, engine mount, firewall, and of course the cowling. I found a local hobby shop here so ie stocked up on many replacement parts. But my last few flights have been great, taking off and landing are both super fun! Looking forward o putting a brushless motor in it and other mods as well!

Welcome aboard and it's good to see you are making progress with the Cub.
From the wheels, wheel spats and other things in your picture, I assume you acquired it second-hand? If so, I hope you know that it's usual to have four rubber bands holding the wing. In your case, the other two would stretch diagonally across from front right to back left and vice versa.
Have fun!

Yes I did pick this plane up second hand. I actually was looking for a plane for a few months, finally found this sc on Craigslist ! For 40 bucks I got it in perfect shape, a battery, charger and remote. What a deal huh!!!! Yeah he put after market wheels on it which I like a lot, really easy to take off and land. So for the rubber bands, why do u use 4 instead of just 2? I've only had about 20 flights but for all my flights I've only used the two and it seems to work perfect? Thanks for the help as I am totally new to this hobby and just doing a bunch of reading online to see what works best!

I'm just saying that from the box the SC has four rubber bands. Presumably it is to hold the wing more tight.
And consider this: if one of your two bands snaps while you're soaring way up in the blue, you will be in deep do-do. With four bands, you have a sporting chance.
You got a good bargain there. And bigger wheels can be really worthwhile.

Yeah most the sc I've seen all have the 4 rubber bands holding the wing on. My only thought on just having two were if you crashed pretty hard, the wing would come loose a lot easier with just two bands holding it rather than the 4. But thanks for the help and I love the bigger wheels. Totally helps me (as a beginner) to take off and land pretty easy. Today is the second day I've had flights without any hard landings. Definitely getting control, I'm loving it. Super fun, can't wait to do some mods!!
