This might be of some interest. Over 6 montha ago, I lost a SC by letting it get to far away, and lost my visual orietation. Couldn;t bring it back, and lost it in a forest. We spent several days looking for it in thick tees/undergrowth, and just wrote it off to "experience". Yesterday, a lady called, and ask if I had lost an airplane. After 6 months in sub zero temps/18" of snow, here's the report: rx works, motor works, battery seems to take a charge, and one of the servo's work. The other one just moans. I am installing a new servo, and as soon as I confirm that the sun is still there, I'm going flying. Rolie

Always a good idea to put your name and phone number on the plane somewhere. I do believe it is required with flying clubs, but is also mentioned in the manual. Good part is, you may get your plane back. Bad part...if the plane caused damage, be prepared to pay!

To answer your question garvey76, no I didn't, but when we lost the plane, I went to her house and ask permission to look for it at the time, and left my name and # then. She had lost my number, but remembered me telling her my daughter worked at the local bank, and she tracked me down thru her. I now do as I8again says, and put stickers on the plane. I've thought about the liability thing, but hopefully my home owners would cover it. Oh, well, I want to do what's right anyway. Thanks for listening, just found it interesting how rugged the SC's are. Rolie

SCC, I think she found it on the ground, but because of the "bruises" on the wings, it probably came down in the trees. Oh well, now I have two of them. Thanks Rolie
