Has anyone used Ferrite rings on any of their Electronics on the stock cub?

No, I have them on my giant scale though. I believe they help to limit noise interference.

Like the man said. Primarily most effective on brushed motors, of less value on brushless or for 2.4GHz systems.
That's what those little lentil like things on the brushed motor do also, reduce the electrical noise from brush arcing.
